Detonation, question

Some people say they have detonation, some say they dont. But i wonder how does detonation feel or sound like. I drive my car everyday but i cant tell if there is detonation or not. I only fell ther is a cut off when i step on the gas fast and my A/F meter go lean for a sec. I havent heard any weird noise, but does that mean i dont have detonation? Finally, just want to know what is suitable fuel presure for civic Ex at adle and at wot. Thanks

By the way, when i drive my car a little harder then normal, lets say shifting at 4500 rpm, it gets lean right after i shift up. Example: up shift from 2nd to 3rd at 4500rpm, it gets leans rigt after i shift to 3rd but it goes back rich after a second.
what does this mean, not enough fuel, not enough pressure? thank for any help

You should also go lean when you step off the throttle when decellerating... that is slowing down without pushing the clutch in. If you want to test this theory, try accellerating and when shifting, DO NOT lift the throttle. Instead, keep it at the same position as when you were accellerating... only push in the clutch. If you are flooring it, you may bounce off the rev-limiter when you do this. If you do... you will show lean again. Try NOT to stay on the limiter for long... it cuts fuel to the cylinders. THIS IS NOT GOOD FOR YOUR MOTOR.
